NEW Lousiana Science Standards Are BESE Approved!

Louisiana will begin to transition to new Louisiana science standards!  On Tuesday, March 7, 2017, the Louisiana Board of Secondary and Elementary Education (BESE) approved the draft K-12 Louisiana science standards.  For reference, the new standards are replacing Benchmarks adopted in 1997.  Click here for more information about the standards review processList of Science Standards Committee and Workgroup Members

Flinn Scientific Teacher Safety Training

ALL Terrebonne Parish science teachers (grades 6-12) must complete the Flinn Scientific safety training!  If you have any questions, you should  contact Nathan Cotten, STEM Curriculum Specialist.
To view an overview of the FREE training, please go to: http://labsafety.flinnsci.com/Home.aspx  Specific links for teachers in high school and middle school are provided below.
This video will fulfill your TPSD training requirement and, in conjunction with Flinn's chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets, make school laboratories safer for teachers and students.
