CHEVRON CORPORATION AWARDS TPSD $ 50,000 GRANT
Grant allows TPSD to support STEM through eSports at four High Schools

Terrebonne Parish School District (TPSD) recently received a $50,000 grant from the Chevron Corporation. Chevron has supported TPSD for multiple years focusing on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Thanks to Chevron, this grant will allow TPSD to support STEM through eSports at H. L. Bourgeois High School, Ellender Memorial High School, South Terrebonne High School, and Terrebonne High School. We believe eSports will promote teamwork, engage students, and boost the exploration of STEM concepts and career paths. TPSD is grateful for the continued support that Chevron has given over the years.
Chevron is committed to supporting organizations, programs, and events which reinforce their business and social investment focus areas: economic development, environment, health, and STEM education.

Nathan Cotton is the Curriculum Specialist, STEM Grades 3 – 12, for TPSD. Contact information for Mr. Cotten is: 985.872.3650.

Chevron Corporation will present the grant to TPSD on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 5:00 PM during the Education, Technology, and Policy Committee Meeting and again to the full school board during the School Board Meeting on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.
