04-16-2020 ~ Closing of Schools for Remainder of School Year
Posted 4/14/20

Dear Parents,

By proclamation of the Governor on April 15, 2020, all schools in Louisiana will be closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year due to COVID19.

Terrebonne Parish Schools will continue to offer distance learning through an enhanced school-specific distance learning platform, which can be accessed at www.tpsd.org by following the “Online Learning Resources” link.

Families with internet access and a device are encouraged to use the on-line distance learning platform.

Two-week paper instructional packets, by grade level, will continue to be offered at Southdown and STHS. New two-week packets will be available on April 20, May 4, and May 18.

Additionally, “Terrebonne Teacher Time” is aired on HTV daily at 3:30 pm, with new lessons airing each Monday for grades K-2.

Meals will continue to be served at the 4 high schools Monday through Friday, from 11 am to 1 pm.  We will begin serving breakfast on Monday, April 20. When you pick up a lunch, you will also receive a breakfast for the next morning.

Please continue to monitor www.tpsd.org and the district Facebook page for additional information and directions concerning school-specific distance learning opportunities.

Stay safe,

Philip Martin

Superintendent
