EMHS Graduates 195 Students!

Ellender Memorial High School held its 29th annual Commencement Exercises on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center.  The 195 students walked across the stage in their red caps and gowns with smiles across their faces.

The class officers for the 2016-2017 Senior Class were:  President, Mathieu Tillman; Vice President, Sahar Muhawesh; Secretary, Alexis Dardar; Treasurer, Detinie Jones; and Representative, David Racine III.

The class elected Red, White, and Blue as their Class Colors; the Red Rose as their Class Flower; and Hall of Fame by The Script ft. as their Class Song.  The class motto, a quote from Dr. Seuss, “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”

Good luck to the Ellender Class of 2017, as each student begins a new path.
